CVFI helps students review and improve their CVs for internship applications. This policy explains what information is involved when you use the service and how it is used.

When you request an analysis, you may provide your first name, the type of internship you are targeting, and a CV file. CVFI accepts PDF and DOCX files. Your CV can contain personal information such as your contact details, education, work history, and skills, so please review it before uploading.

We use the information you submit to analyze your CV and display feedback such as strengths, gaps, suggested improvements, and example wording. We may also use technical and usage information to keep the service secure, understand how it is used, and improve its reliability.

CVFI does not currently require you to create an account or provide payment information to use the CV analysis flow.

Your CV is sent to CVFI's analysis endpoint so the service can produce results. The service may rely on hosting, analytics, and AI processing providers to operate. Those providers may process information on our behalf as needed to provide their services.

Do not upload information you are not comfortable submitting for automated analysis. Avoid including sensitive personal information that is not needed to assess your CV.

CVFI uses your browser's session storage to temporarily keep the name and internship type you entered, the uploaded file's name, your analysis results, and a count of analyses in that browser session. This lets the results page show your analysis without asking you to submit the form again. You can clear this information through your browser settings.

The site also uses Vercel Analytics. Analytics may collect technical usage information, such as page views and device or browser details, to help us understand site traffic. CVFI does not use this information to build advertising profiles.

We do not sell your personal information. Information may be processed by providers that support CVFI, or disclosed when required by law or needed to protect the service and its users.

Information in session storage remains in your browser until it is cleared or the browser removes it. Information sent to CVFI's servers or service providers is kept only as needed to process the request, operate the service, meet legal obligations, and protect the service.

We use reasonable safeguards intended to protect information handled by CVFI. No website or internet transmission can be guaranteed completely secure, so please avoid uploading information that is not necessary for your CV review.

You can choose not to submit a CV, and you can clear CVFI's session data using your browser settings. For questions or privacy requests, contact the CVFI team using the contact details provided on the CVFI website.

We may update this policy as CVFI changes. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. Continued use of the service after an update means the revised policy applies to your future use.
